Kevin Martinez '23 Recruiting Profile

One of my goals is to be the best version of myself in every way, including academically, athletically and overall as a person. One reason why I should be on your team is I am very technically with the ball. I am very different from other defenders because not only am I physical I am also quite fast. Since there aren't many fast defenders and almost all of the strikers and wingers are fast I am able to have a better chance of shutting them down in a game rather than a slower defender. One example is when my high school team (Carlmont) played against Bellermine. Their striker was very fast and strong.He was only able to get past me once throughout the whole game. Another aspect of myself is that I always find a way to improve in any way I can in sports and in academics. Speaking about academics I have been to a duel language   school that is called Fiesta Gardens International School. The middle school that I have been to is Tierra Linda middle school. Right now I am a sophomore at Carlmont high School.
