Ryan Mendoza '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ryan Mendoza and I’m a Junior at Vanguard College Preparatory Academy. I play soccer for Ajax United in Modesto, CA. My collegiate goals is to play at the highest level possible and compete with the best. I want to be able to feel welcomed and comfortable going into college. I also want to be on a soccer team that will not only make me a better player but a better person as well. 

I feel like I would be the best player for your team because I have 11 years of experience playing soccer and I believe my technical skills as well as my mental and physical attributes give me an advantage over others. I’m a small town kid and I’ve always been self motivated to become the best at what I do so that I can show others that no matter where you come from, don‘t give up and always have faith. I‘ve always set high standards for myself in school, soccer, and life because I want to be the strongest, smartest, and best overall person I can be. I’ve always valued discipline over motivation and that’s what makes me drive for success.

I want to be a professional soccer player regardless of what league I play in because I love the game and I want to play at a school that will give me the best opportunity to play at the next level. I’m a team player who values my teammates in order to build chemistry with them on and off the field. What makes me stand out to my peers is my work ethic and consistency. While I'm focusing on school and maintaining my 4.0 GPA, I make sure to workout and train everyday so I can become the best player I can be. I believe I can bring everything you need to your program and I want to win as much as you do.
