Reed Boulter '11 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Reed Boulter and I am currently a senior at El Toro High School in Orange County, California. I have been playing club soccer since I was seven years old and I have been a goalkeeper for eleven years. During this time, I have been fortunate enough to travel to Europe for two summers where I trained in Germany. I continued on to Sweden and played in the largest youth soccer tournament in the world, the Gothia Cup. When I was fourteen I decided to attend the IMG academy in Bradenton Florida where I lived in dorms with other atheletes from around the world. It was a very rewarding experience and I believe it made me a more independent and confident person because of it. After returning to California, I spent one season on Irvine Strikers while also playing on the El Toro High School team. Even though I loved California, I decided to go back to IMG for my sophmore year. Most of my days consisted of academics in the morning then weight training, multiple hours of goalkeeper practice, and team training which all took place in the evening. Also, I chose to take on personal mental conditioning and personal weight training while in Florida. I believe that doing this made me very disciplined and educated with the needs of being mentally strong, physically fit, and a focused athlete. My junior was a very successful one for soccer while playing for u-17 West Coast FC. This past year we had won the Far West Regional League, the Cal South National Cup, and the Far West Regional Championship which qualified our team to go to Kansas City to play for the National Championship. Unfortunately, we finished fourth in the National Championship but it was overall a great experience to play against some of the top teams in the nation. I have attained an accumulative gpa of 3.45 through my first three years of high school while taking numerous honors classes. I hope to attend a four year university in either California, Oregon, Washington, or New York but I am open to other locations as well. I have not decided what I am going to major in college as of yet. All my life I have been working toward my personal goals of going to a four year university and playing soccer at the collegiate level. I am a very driven and dedicated student and athelete who never gives up on his goals. Sincerely, Reed Boulter
