Henry Crispi '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been in love with the game of soccer or football pretty much my whole life. Whether it be waking up at 4:30 AM on a Saturday to watch Premier League games or driving 2 and a half hours there and back every Saturday and Sunday for league games. I have loved all of it. Every aspect of the game, the drama, the skills, the goals, everything.

When I was eight years old I joined my first club and since then I have been on four different clubs, succeeding at all of them. I have won different tournaments and I have competed at the highest possible level and league in Southern California. For the past three seasons I have competed with my club Autobahn in the Premier league which is the highest league in CSL. 

I have also been playing for my school. I started playing school soccer in sixth grade where I was a starter for the middle school team and in seventh and eighth grade I was captain of the middle school soccer team. As a freshman in high school soccer I played on the varsity team and now as a sophomore and junior I have been a starter who plays the full 80 minutes as a center attacking mid.

This past high school season. I played every game at center attacking mid. I finished the season with 8 goals and 8 assists in 13 games.

My grades have always been good and I have always pushed myself to grow and develop both on and off the pitch. I am a good student. I have a high GPA and I always push myself to work harder and to gain a better knowledge of what I am learning in school. I am an honors student and I have done multiple community service works outside of school such as helping a homeless shelter in my area for the past four years.

I think I am an incredibly hard worker both inside the classroom and on the field. I know that I can always do better no matter what and I can always strive for higher goals and accomplishments. My goal is to play at the highest collegiate level. I think I am incredibly different than the average college recruit for multiple reasons. One, when it comes to hobbies and interests I have a wide range of things I am interested in from soccer and surfing to films and writing to phycology and music. Two, I have incredible stamina and ball control. I can take defenders on while also keeping possession of the ball and being a playmaker by playing one two's and sending crosses into the box. I also have incredible determination and I put so much effort into my game. If I lose the ball I track back and defend to win it right back again. I play with confidence.
