Sekou Mathews '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Sekou Mathews. 

I am senior at Monterey High School in Monterey, California and I play ECNL for El Camino Futbol Club (ECFC) 06/05 out of Salinas, California. I have also just wrapped up my 5th consecutive and final year on the Olympic Development Program (ODP) State Team for Cal North.  

I grew up as a versatile athlete (soccer, football, basketball, track, volleyball), beginning the sport of soccer at age 3.  I believe that because of my previous experience in multiple sports, the various skills I acquired have made me the soccer player I am today.  I am a fierce competitor and dedicated athlete who aspires to play soccer at the collegiate level and beyond.  I am a leader with a strong work ethic to push myself past my limits and am often recognized for my acceleration, foot speed, agility, and field awareness as highlighted in the articles below:
