John Schwartz '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is John Schwartz and I currently play at the NCAA D2 level. I have just entered the NCAA Transfer Portal and am looking for a new school. While I have learned many valuable lessons moving so far from home, I am looking to get back closer to family near SoCal or Florida. 

During my first season of college soccer at University of Findlay, I played outside back and center back, but can also be a threat as a winger. My soccer journey begun when I was 4 years old and ever since, I have found a love and passion for the sport. My dad has influenced me the most. He has taught me to never give up no matter what happens and that there is no reason for someone to train harder than me. I have learned how to push my teammates and be a leader on and off the field.  

I have always put my friends and family before myself, always leaving it all on the field. I am always a respectful and outgoing person. I have learned that I will not always be the best, but I can try and train the hardest.  I currently have a 3.1 GPA after my first semester of college and will finish my freshman year with 28 units. I will have 3 years of NCAA eligibility. 

I am currently majoring in Business. My interest in business and how businesses work, I have developed an enthusiasm for every aspect of the business world.  I am inspired by my father who owns a medium sized business. I have a great interest in continuing my Business degree, which will allow me to gain an understanding on how businesses are run day to day. 

I do regular training sessions on my own and workout most every day. I will continue to strive as a student athlete and my drive to do so befriends many, including my teammates and coaches. As a team player, I hope to contribute to my next college team in whatever position that will best suit the team.  Thank you for your time and consideration!
