My name is Emerson Lyons and I have been a goalkeeper since I started playing soccer eight years ago. I am extremely dedicated and play on my school varsity soccer team and club team as starting goalkeeper for both. I also have training every Saturday with a personal goalkeeper coach where I work hard, sometimes in high heat or on rainy days, to improve my game. Through this hard work and training I am a much better goalie than I was a year ago and I continue to improve and become a more confident player and leader. I am coachable and friendly and a very good leader on and off the field.
I am very focused on academics - currently taking two AP and two honors classes and achieving a 4.28 weighted GPA. I am proficient in Mandarin Chinese. I am considering a science major such as earth and space science or physics.
