Since I was young, I have been involved in multiple sports and activities. I started out playing baseball and football first. It was while playing soccer at recess with friends that I fell in love with the sport and asked my parents to sign me up in our local AYSO league. I was 10 years old when I first started playing and a bit behind in skill and technique compared to my teammates. I worked hard at improving myself, playing for AYSO competitive teams and then with local club soccer teams. During this time, I was competing in American Trap and Olympic Trap competitions, I even made it to the Jr. Olympic Trap Nationals in Colorado at the training center in September 2020. In my 8th grade year (2019-2020), I had decided to focus on my development as a player and soccer career, knowing that I wanted to play and start for the high school team, play at an elite club level, and pursue a college and beyond soccer career. My strengths on the field are my leadership and team support, reading the game, communicating, and being aggressive. I am dedicated to improving myself mentally, physically, and technically everyday so I can play soccer competitively in college.
Playing soccer in college is a goal, but I also want to receive an excellent education. It is extremely important to me to find the right institution where I can excel academically, pursuing a major in Mechanical Engineering, but play soccer at a high level that prepares for the next level. Finding an institution that will allow me to reach my goals and have teammates that are similarly pursuing rigorous education courses while playing high level soccer is extremely important to me. I believe that I am prepared to play soccer at the next level because of my dedication, hard work on and off the field, being a coachable person, and the great mentorship I have received from my coaches and teammates. These people can attest to my work ethic and character on and off the field. I look forward to the opportunity to speak to you about my goals on the field and in the classroom.
