Esteban Viera '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Esteban Viera and I am an incoming Junior at San Pedro High School in San Pedro, California. I will graduate in 2025 and one of my goals is to play college soccer while earning a Law Degree (JD). My unweighted GPA is 3.89 and weighted GPA is 4.3. I play for Ryan Smith's Ayso United Elite 64 club team in Southern California and also at San Pedro’s varsity soccer team. Ryan has been my coach for the past 3 years and he has developed me in every way possible, from the physical aspect of the game to the maturity and mental view of the game.

I am a Defensive/Holding Midfielder who controls the tempo of the game and sets up attacks and prevents attacks from the opposing team. For Club, I was the source of pinging balls to the wingers and creating space for myself so that I have time to attack and create opportunities. At Pedro, I played the deep 6 and was a reliable option to play the ball with confidence. Our high school team finished 2nd in the Marine League.

My father and grandfather have been training me since I was 4 years old. My sister also trained with us at a young age but decided to focus on school more and is going to attend the University of California, Berkeley this year. My grandpa has trained me to perfect and master the basics of the beautiful game, also to gain IQ and understanding of what to do when under pressure on the ball or with off the ball movement. I have been interested in Law from a very young age because my mother was a Paralegal and took me to see her work numerous times when I was young and I enjoyed it alot.

I am currently reaching out to different college soccer programs to where I can be a good fit and contribute a good amount to the team while earning my degree. When I am off the field I like to hangout with my friends and play other sports such as basketball and American football.
