Alex Risdon '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alex Risdon, I was born in Los Angeles in 2006.

I have been playing competitive club soccer since the age of six.  At the age of five I was recruited to play pre club for Real SoCal FC.

I played for West Coast Elite FC from the age of six to the age of fourteen, playing at Gold level in Cal South. During this period I represented West Coast Elite FC at the Donosti Cup and MIC Cup in Barcelona and San Sebastian, Spain, playing against some of the top European academy teams. I also represented West Coast Elite on a tour of England and Germany at the age of 12 playing against the best academies in those respected countries.

I played Varsity soccer at Golden Valley High School as a Freshman, and have captained the team from Sophomore year, leading the team to their first ever play off run.

In 2023 I represented Pateadores U-19s as a U-17 winning State Cup and coming 3rd in the national championships in Colorado.

My ambition is to find a college to further my education in an environment where I can thrive.  I want to play soccer at the highest level possible, I am extremely dedicated and always eager to learn from my coaches and always show an excellent work ethic during training sessions.   I have good leadership qualities, captaining all the teams I have played with, as my coaches have had trust in me on and off the field.
