Personal Statement
I have been playing soccer since 2015 and moved to my current role as center back in 2019. I am co-captain for the team and in our first year in high school, we ranked first in our league. What I enjoy most about soccer is the team aspect, working with and leading my other teammates. Over the past 2 years, I have worked on headers to use in the back limiting shots on goal and in set pieces off corner kicks. In High School Soccer I had three header goals off corner kicks in my first year. I am excited at the idea of playing soccer in college and continuing to grow in the sport. On a personal level, it has provided me with structure and discipline which has also carried into my studies and work ethic.
