I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old and the first year of it I wouldn't leave my parents side and would scream and cry when I was on the field. After about a year of playing soccer, no one and nothing has been able to pull me away from it because of the love I have for the sport. I always strive to be better at the game and improve to be one of the best on the field, but at the same time keep good grades and make sure I'm still keeping enough time to focus on academics. I didn't play soccer for high school my Freshman year because I wanted to maintain eligibility so that I could transfer for my Sophomore year to a higher level soccer school and challenge my academics more. Halfway through my fall season of High School soccer my Sophomore year, I broke my ankle and thought it was just a bad sprain that was not heeling right. I continued to play on it for about 7 months and then it kept getting worse and worse so I went in to get a X-Ray and by the time I had left the doctors, I was wearing a giant boot and had already scheduled my surgery. This was a big set back but I came back to the sport even stronger and with a stronger mental side of the game which is what I needed. This year I have grown a lot as a player and was awarded with All- Conference first team and many player of the game awards. This club season I made the Boulder County United USL Academy team and won state cup. I want to continue my soccer career by playing at a high level college and also a place where I can continue to follow my academic dreams as well.
