Personal Statement

For as long as I can remember, I have loved the sport of soccer. I have always enjoyed watching others play; but I love getting to play more. I try to always play as much as I can. It has always been a dream of mine to play at the highest level possible.

I love the play-style of passing over the counter attack. It is mesmerizing how in a passing play-style you move the ball through the field in a graceful manner. Even though this is my favorite play-style, I am open to learning and trying new tactics and ideas from coaches and teammates. What I love most about the sport of soccer is how it is much more than just a game. Soccer connects people from all over the world, allowing teammates to connect as language is no longer a barrier.

I am the ideal player to have in the outside midfield position because I have technical ability with good first touch and ball skills; I have keen field vision to help me anticipate my teammate’s moves as well as my opponents; and I have outstanding quickness and inexhaustible physical agility.

I am also looking to learn from my coaches and teammates to improve on my soccer skills.

Jalen has a fantastic attitude and a tireless work ethic. Jalen has incredible endurance, he never stoped working the entire camp and as other would tire, he would be continuing to work at a very high level. Continue to gain con􀃝dence with the ball at your feet and many doors with being to open. You do a fantastic job putting yourself in dangerous areas, can we now start to get constant product out of you being in those areas. I.E. Goals and Assists. Don't focus on putting on a ton of muscle mass, but focus on developing muscle endurance. Your quickness and balance always you to be the effective type of player you are, don't change that by focusing on getting bigger. Don't focus on mistakes, they are naturally going to occur in games. Focus on the things you can control and shake off any miscues in the run of play.
