My overall goal is to make it to a good college and play soccer at a high, competitive level. I believe that I am a good candidate for any team because I am willing to play where I am needed the most. I always put the team's needs before my own even if that means sacrificing the ability to score or be an offensive presence. I am different from other recruits because I am selfless, willing to work and improve until complete exhaustion, I will play where I am needed the most not where I think I play best, and as a student, I maintain high grades and work hard to be able to play sports.
For the past two seasons, I have played on the defensive line as a left-back and now center-back on my competitive team. Having played the front line and now the defensive line has given me the ability to be a player that can see all aspects of the field. I enjoy being able to help my team wherever I can. In college, I know this will help me be a better team player for whatever team I become a part of. I can step in and fill in a gap on that team, whether that be on the right forward or striker, or on the defensive line.
As a junior, I played two sports at a time and maintained a straight-A average at my school while taking AP classes. This required some weeks that I was at three to four games a week and/or practices and missing class time. It requires me to be able to manage my time, study, and work hard. I expect a lot of myself, and it shows in a lot of what I do. As I head into my senior year, I will be maintaining the same rigorous schedule with two sports and AP classes. I want to maintain my grade point average and keep my standards high. I think having this expectation will help prepare me for the rigors of being a student-athlete in college.
