John Kampe '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is John “Jack" Kampe. I am a 6’2” center back/outside back, born and raised outside of Boston, Massachusetts. I relocated to South Florida in the Summer of 2020, where the weather allows outdoor play all year long.  I am a three-year starter in the South Florida Football Academy MLS Next program.   I currently play on South Florida Football Academy's U19 MLS Next team, where I made 15 appearances (of 16 MLS Next matches) in the 2022/2023 season, starting in 14 games and playing 1,229 minutes.  The South Florida Football Academy MLS Next U19 team finished in 3rd place in the MLS Next Florida Division and qualified for both the MLS Next Playoffs (going to QuarterFinals) and MLS Next Flex.   I have trained in the MLS Next, U.S. Soccer Development Academy, Olympic Development Program, and/or the U.S Youth Futsal National programs from a young age.  I have had the privilege to play in numerous highly competitive games and have fond memories of my matches against the academies of New England Revolution, Inter Miami, Atlanta United, New York City FC, Nashville FC, Orlando City, Columbus Crew, Queens Park Rangers, and Sporting Clube de Portugal. I believe these collective experiences have helped me grow as a person, player, and teammate and hope they can open the door to competitive play at the college level. 

I aspire to attend a college where I can be challenged both athletically and academically. I plan on majoring in economics and currently have a 3.8/4.0 weighted GPA.
