Personal Statement
My name is Evan Hart and I am the keeper for Wake FC's u19 MLS Next team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This past season, 2021-2022, I feel I can say I had one of the best seasons of any keeper in America (Winning Percentage, Goals Against, level of competition, and all as a Junior in u19). We were the only u19 undefeated team in America during the MLS Next Regular Season, with a GD of 74-11. Over the whole season I started more than half the games (as one of only four Juniors on the team) and gave up only 7 goals. Our team also won its division at the MLS Next Flex event and finished in the final 8 in America at the MLS Next Cup in Dallas. In the round of 16 game I made two saves in PK shootouts to advance to the final 8.
Previous to playing at Wake FC, I played at the DA in Orlando Florida for four years and one year ECNL NL at NC Fusion. I won the Appalachian State ID Camp Gatorade Player of the Camp after my 8th grade year (2010), and the Exact 50 - Atlanta Camp Golden Gloves Award that same summer. Also in the summer of 2019 I was invited and played with Chelsea's Academy London, England.
I feel what separates me from other keepers is my work ethic, my communication, and my athleticism. I treat every night of training as a game and often do keeper training, my practice, and stay for another team practice to play in the field and work on my footwork. Also, I feel most people who watch my games or practice notice my constant talking and positioning of players. Finally, I am nearing 6'2" and still growing and feel if you watch my video you will notice my range, speed, and willingness to play aggressively at all levels of the field.
