My name is Frank Iturriaga. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and lived there until I was 12. I started playing soccer when I was 5, and since then I have played on many different teams. I have traveled to play soccer both inside my country (Venezuela, U.S.A) and to other countries (Spain three times, Portugal once). To be the athlete that I am today, I have had to sacrifice many pleasures and endure many difficulties.
Playing in many different teams and countries where the style of playing changes drastically has made me a very adaptable player, not only to different styles of playing but to different and higher levels as well. I have a very deep understanding of the sport because it is something that I have been doing my entire life. I love watching soccer almost as much as I love playing it, and the admiration I have for the players I have been watching since I was a kid is one of the reasons that I want to play on the next level.
My first few years in this country I struggled academically mostly because of my lack of understanding of the language and the different educational system. Over the years I have improved consistently, but there's still room for more improvement. I plan on taking this same mentality as I take the next step in my academic and athletic career.
