For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to become an engineer or a scientist. At Coral Reef HS, I excel in all my science classes. The main fields of science I am currently interested in are biotechnology and marine biology. I've grown up by the ocean throughout my entire life and have always adored it. I feel that biotechnology can play an enormous part in our future due to its countless possibilities. These two subjects fascinate me, making them my two sought-after college majors. I aspire to go to the best college possible. For this reason, I have been able to balance out 2-hour practices every day of the week, my rigorous IB curriculum, an hour of guitar and piano practice every day, games and tournaments on weekends, and activities and plans with friends and family.
I have been playing soccer since I was 7. I began as a striker for a year but then progressed to a keeper. I played 3 years with Miami Breakers FC, then spent 3 seasons in Juventus, and I am now in my 4th season back with Breakers again. I have trained with several different goalie trainers and several team coaches. I use this to my advantage by using the advice and training from all these coaches and forming it into my own unique style of playing. My latest accomplishment is traveling with the Miami Breakers 2006 Black (the first 2006 team in the nation) and reaching a 14-penalty shootout during the quarterfinals in the regionals tournament. I am currently playing in 2006 Breakers White as a keeper, a team positioned 7th in the state, and 22nd in the nation.
Soccer has always been an important aspect of my life. For 7 long years, I only played in division 3 teams, but I never gave up. I continued playing and improving until I could finally be part of a division 1 team. I have gone through several ups and downs but have never quit. I pursue soccer not only because it is a sport I love, but because I know it will boost my chances against other people in the colleges I believe I can attend.
Thank you for taking a look at my account, I hope we can get in touch.
