Joshua Heller '22 Recruiting Profile

I currently reside in Pembroke Pines, Florida, a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale. I am 16 years old and a Junior at West Broward High School. I live with my parents and an older brother. The aforementioned brother recently graduated from Greensboro College in North Carolina and is employed as a Middle School Teacher. I have another brother who attained a Masters Degree from the University of Florida and is a Police Officer with the Miami-Dade Police Department. Both of my parents are retired high-ranking officers from the same police agency. They have been very positive role models, helping mold my core values of being honest, respectful and considerate of others. This has assisted me with developing positive relationships with teachers, coaches and friends.

My dream of playing college soccer was enhanced after watching my brother play four years of soccer at Greensboro College. I have been studying hard and taking Honors Courses in English, Mathematics, Biology, Geography and Information Technology. I have been playing organized soccer since I was three years old. Since the age of nine, I have been fortunate to compete at a high level while being a member of the West Pines United F.C. This has allowed me to travel and play in some high profile tournaments.

In preparing to play at the college level, I have been training hard, eating healthy and maintaining a positive attitude. If I were selected to attend your institution, I would have the opportunity to obtain an outstanding education and help contribute to the success of your soccer program.
