So, I begin at the end, JOGA BONITO!

Born to two very focused and passionate parents, I was introduced to God’s Sport at a very young age, three to be exact. It was the golden age of Barcelona FC…Leo Messi, Pique, Xavi, Iniesta, and Puyol to name a few idols! It goes without saying I was paralyzed watching their abilities, their tiki-taka, and their passion for the beautiful game. I was fascinated, I was enamored, and became a avid fan immediately! Who could blame me? La Liga, UEFA, and Super Copa champs! I can honestly say, without doubt and apprehension, that squad launched me in to my passionate love for the game!

My parents….yes, them again. They’re obviously very instrumental and prominent in my life! Focused, dedicated, and with ravenous appetites for growth and involvement, my progress on the pitch has morphed into steadfast, determined defensive play. But, do I have room for improvement? Do I have a lot to learn? Of course I am aware of that! And I look forward with great anticipation to this growth and development during my years in high school and hopefully in college! 

I am blessed! Blessed to have earned a position on an elite level club team (Florida Premier FC ECNL 2007, currently ranked #1 in the country), blessed to have amazing teammates, blessed to have God as my compass, and blessed to have an academic appetite that will carry me beyond my years off the pitch!  

Diplomas and Championships! My high school years so far have been fantastic and characterized by advancements…academically, athletically, spiritually, and socially. However, I still have goals to achieve and trophies to lift! A high school diploma, ECNL national championship, and Florida high school state championship! I pray every day that God gives me the strength to work hard, stay hungry, and to be a leader and  “man for others” (the mantra of Jesuit High School)! It won’t stop there though! College diplomas and hardware championships are definitely my future goals! 

I am grateful! I’ll eternally be grateful for all the opportunities that I have been given, largely by my parents! I’m grateful to be a student (and teammate) of life, education, God, and this great game! And it’s with this exact sincere gratitude that drives me to open more doors to future opportunities…more opportunities to be blessed….more opportunities for diplomas and championships, and the opportunity to play college soccer, JOGA BONITO!
