Nino Castellon '22 Recruiting Profile

My passion for playing soccer began when I was ten years old. My goal is to play soccer at a  competitive college while pursuing a higher education. I am a goal driven individual, highly coachable, and have a strong work ethic both on and off the field. I am a team player and communicate well. I enjoy volunteering, graphic designing, helping my church, and reading books that help me to become a better person.   

I set a goal when I was 13 years old to train for soccer in Europe. In 2020, I tried out for an elite soccer academy located in France. I was selected to enter the program, but due to the pandemic, I could not travel to France. I took that time to train on my own and read multiple books to help me perform better and be mentally prepared for the soccer academy. In 2021, I was able to enter the soccer program for my senior year. I have been competing and training at the highest level in France.  The training methodology has prepared me both physically and mentally to compete at the highest level. My dedication and perseverance are qualities that will push me to become an asset to any competitive college soccer team.
