Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I currently attend Addison Trail High School as a Freshman, I have lived in Addison my whole life and started to play soccer at age 5 in park district with my dad as my Coach. Throughout the years having my dad as my Coach was not easy, but it taught me a lot. I have learned that just because you are the Coaches son you do not receive any form of special treatment, you have to work just as hard as the next person and sometimes even harder to play on the field. As the years passed both my dad as a Coach and myself as the player grew, we traveled all over the USA and had the ability to play against some of the worlds best youth teams under the Addison United Soccer Club name. We won many great matches and we also lost some as well. Even when we all felt that we let everyone down and all the work we put in was for nothing , I always reminded myself and my teammates that these are the matches that we learn about ourselves and we take back and work on our mistakes. My family has always taught me not to jump on the bandwagon and blame one another for a mistake made on the field because it's the easy route that many players take to take the pressure off themselves, but to encourage one another when my teammates are down and compliment them on their strengths and the good things they did during the game... it helps a lot!
As much as I love sports School and Family are my priority and what I focus on and I avoid distractions. Having a household with both parents being entrepreneurs I have big shoes to fill, and my dad who served in the Navy in San Diego has always implemented to me that education is the key I know that I need to start focusing on my future since the first day I stepped foot in Addison Trail. I was put in the pilot program for coding in 8th grade and was invited to continue the subject Freshman year which is typically offered to sophomores and junior. I have been maintaining a A in that class and at this point of my life this is the route that I would like to go.
As I said family is key and besides my parents coaching and being entrepreneurs we also volunteer our time throughout the year to various 501c organizations locally like Top Soccer, Midwest Shelter for homeless veterans, Midwest pediatric treasure chest, just to name a few. I also referee during my down time. I do plan on being a part of more clubs etc in High School but I wanted to use my freshman year as a step stone to see where I fit and what my expectations are. I will update that information as it comes but I do hope that I can find a college that will fit my criteria and meet their expectations as a student and a player.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely ,
Frank Nicholas DeAngelo
