I have been running cross country and track since I was in the sixth grade. Ever since then it has been a part of my life. Yet I did not really start to take running seriously until my freshman year in high school. That is when I had first realized that what I was doing was making me truly happy and the friendships I had made along the way made it that much better. My different coaches have really shaped my life when it comes to running. Each new coach has something different to give and share, and as I got older I started to understand more and more where running was going to take me. I can tell now that since the beginning, they saw potential that I had not known was there. Since then I have learned a lot about myself that I believe I would not have found out if it were not for running. These traits include competitiveness, determination, respect, leadership and persistence.
In high school my plan is to graduate with a 4.0 GPA and to graduate at a college with a bachelors degree in physical therapy. Some of the obstacles that I have faced in my years of running is loss of interest in the sport at one time or another. Which I believe every runner has faced in his/her career at some point in time. All it took was to reevaluate what I was doing and where I was going and what I was doing that made me want to continue running. Some unique characteristics that I posses are the drive to better myself for myself and to do things today that I would not have been able to do yesterday.
