Personal Statement

I am looking for a college that has an excellent program for my major (business) as well as a great soccer program. I am very serious about my academics as I currently hold a 4.0/4.0 GPA. I am a very busy and dedicated person currently, so I believe this will help me out in balancing the aspects of both a college sport and maintaining excellent college grades. I feel like the reason I can handle this great responsibility is I am currently playing soccer year round, like most other athletes at this point, but I am also holding a 4.0 GPA, and I run my own business as I mow approximately 10 yards a week. I manage all the billing and communicating to my customers on my own. I feel like these responsibilities will help me out to be a focused college player. A trait about me that I believe makes me stand out from other student-athletes at any level is my competitiveness, and my versatility. I can essentially play any position on the field (besides keeper). Just in this last year alone (as a sophomore)I played left back, center mid, center back, and a forward position. For my high school squad, I played about the final 1/3 of the season as a forward and lead my team in goals, scoring in all but one game, and we won a regional title for the first time in 14 years. We made it to the sectional championship. No matter what I do, no matter how small the task, I view everything as a competition, and I am never wanting to lose. Whether it's academics, a simple board game, or of course soccer. I am always going to give my 100% on every little task to ensure that I can be the best player possible. If my coach, manager, or boss tell me to do something or get something done, I will do it and give it 100%.
