My name is Erik Miller, and I am a 6'2 180 lbs center back and live in Libertyville, IL. I currently play club soccer for FC 1974 Libertyville 04's. I am a starting center back and captain for the club as well. I attend Carmel Catholic High School and last season for high school as a sophomore, I started on the varsity team as a center defensive midfielder/center back. As a captain on a high-level club team and starter for my high school team as a sophomore, I have developed strong traits that make me a good candidate for any team to have. I strive to help my teammates improve on the field and I have a strong presence in the back. I had formerly played as forward and that helped me develop good technical abilities and being able to pass well out of the back. I've had many different coaches over the years and I'm eager to listen and learn and I have become very adaptable for any team I have played for. I have had a goal of playing soccer at a great college and play for a team where I can make a difference.
Academically, I have been a great student maintaining very high grades. This first semester of junior year, I maintained all A's and received a GPA of 4.36. I am going to continue to focus on my grades and continue to keep my GPA as high as I can. In college, I plan on pursuing the Business field for my education.
