Owen Spencer '14 Recruiting Profile

My Name is Owen Spencer, I am 6'1, 150lbs. I have been playing soccer since I was Four years old and I love to play Sports. I have been a Team captain on My club team for five years now, as well as a team captain for the Junior varsity team my Sophomore season in High school. I strive to do my best and always work my hardest in every practice and game. If I know that I need to work on something or I made a silly mistake in a game I will go home and work in the backyard until I know the mistake is fixed. I love being early to practices so that I can get warmed up and play around with the ball on my own. After practice or after a game I am usually the last one to leave, because I pick up after the team and sometimes talk to the coach about that practice or the game we just played. I was involved in the ODP program for 6 years, from 2006-2011 and every year I have made the state team. In 2010 the state team got a chance to go to Berlin, Germany and play soccer over there for two weeks. I took this opportunity and while I was over there I learned so much about soccer and about myself that I never knew. We got to play some of the best teams from Germany while we were there and at the end off the two weeks my team ended up winning the tournament. During the 2012 High School season I played Varsity for Center Grove High School. I was a Midfielder and played in every game. During the season we were able to make it to the Semi-state Final but lost. We came 4th in state. After High school I want to major in Orthopedics and hope to be a part of a great college. Once my High school soccer career is over I have a strong desire to play at the highest level of competition possible, and want to make an impact on whatever team I join.
