Personal Statement

Throughout my journey as a soccer player, I have strived to live the values of hard work, versatility, teamwork, and academic excellence, all of which have shaped me into the individual I am today.

First and foremost, my work ethic is one of my strongest traits. I believe that success is earned through dedication and hard work. I have consistently shown this work ethic on and off the field, pushing myself to achieve new levels of performance. Whether it's committing to training sessions or constantly seeking to improve my skills, I am always ready to put in the necessary effort to be my best in soccer.

As a versatile player, I take pride in my ability to play in many different positions and game scenarios. Throughout my soccer career, I have played in various positions, allowing me to gain an understanding of the game from different perspectives. This versatility has enabled me to contribute in multiple roles, whether it be as a forward, midfielder or defender. This versatility throughout my career has prepared me to be the most well-rounded defender possible.

Soccer has also taught me the value of teamwork. The bonds formed with my teammates are unlike any other. Together, we have shared countless unforgettable memories. By playing soccer, I have developed lifelong friendships and learned the importance of trust, communication, and collaboration.

In addition to my commitment to soccer, I have maintained a strong focus on school. Recognizing the importance of balancing sports and doing my best academically, I have consistently prioritized school and achieved excellent results. My dedication to both soccer and school has taught me valuable skills, enabling me to excel in both areas. I believe that being a great academic student is a testament to my discipline, dedication, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

As I prepare for the next chapter in my life, I am determined to continue playing soccer at the next level. The thought of representing a university fills me with excitement. I look forward to the opportunity to compete at a higher level, to face new challenges, and to continue growing as both an athlete and an individual.

Playing soccer in college means more than just being part of a team; it signifies the chance to contribute to a legacy, to become a part of a larger community, and to inspire others through the game I have loved throughout my life. I am eager to commit myself in a collegiate environment that fosters both academic and athletic excellence, where I can continue to grow as a player while pursuing my academic goals.

In conclusion, soccer is not just a hobby or a pastime for me. It is an integral part of my identity and has shaped my character in countless ways. The lessons, values, and experiences gained from soccer have had a huge impact on my personal growth, and I am determined to carry those lessons forward in this next part my life. I am passionate, dedicated, and ready to embrace the challenges that await me on and off the soccer field in college.

I am confident that with my commitment, resilience, and love for the game, I will make a positive contribution to any college soccer program. I am excited about the opportunity to continue pursuing my passion for soccer while furthering my education, and I am eager to seize the chance to make a lasting impact in the collegiate soccer arena.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
