Personal Statement
I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan where I have been playing competitive soccer since elementary school. Selected for Tokyo All-Star U-12 team and Tokyo 7th Block team. During middle school I played on the FC Tokyo U-15 Academy Team. Selected for Tokyo All-Star U-15 team. Subsequently, from High School I joined the Tokyo Musashino City FC U-18 Academy Team where I am currently in my 3rd year. My usual position is Forward, but I am also comfortable playing Attacking Midfielder. I am a self-starter and possess excellent time management skills. From the beginning, I have successfully balanced the time demands that come from being a student-athlete, excelling in academics while playing soccer 5 days/week year-round for the last 10 years. My driving motivation has always been to play Div-1 collegiate soccer in the U.S. I will graduate from the American School in Japan (ASIJ) in June 2019. My strong point is always challenging myself as the only foreigner on my Academy Team where I understand both English & Japanese language as well as culture and soccer style differences. In summary, I am hardworking and I never give up!
