Jonah Atwood '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jonah Atwood, I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. I started playing middle school soccer as a 4th grader, I played in 2 games giving up 1 goal in 2 games. I spent the majority of my 5th grade year in goal, finishing with a 1.78 goals against average.  As a 6th grader I played mid field and keeper  4 goals and 4 assists and had a goals against average of 1.6.  My 7th grade year was spent at mid field where i finished with 6 goals and 9 assists 1 on a corner and 1 free kick. 8th grade was spent in goal where I finished with a 1.25 goals against average and had 7 assists and 2 pk's. When I was 11 I met David Beckham at a private meet and greet and had field seats for the galaxy vs rapids game.  I have played club soccer for 2 teams, the Springboks and FC Kentucky. I started place kicking my 8th grade year making the ky east all star team as a kicker, I set the paris middle school record with a 38 yard field goal. As a freshman I started as the place kicker and averaged 56 yards per kickoff and connected on 11 of 12 pats, 1 35 yrd field goal . AS a freshman soccer player I started varsity in all but 4 games,  played 2 games in goal also. This season has started off great, Through summer games I have scored 7 goals and 8 assists. My varsity squad played in the Bluegrass State Games where we finished 2-1, I was able to help my team with goals and assists in all 3 games.  I remember in 1st grade my teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, very simply I want to play professional soccer. I spend my free time working on agility, free kicks, juggling and fitness.  I use instagram jonah_atwood_10.
