Personal Statement
After 10+ years of school and soccer, I cannot believe my focus is now shifting to my college career. My hope is to find the right fit for me post high school graduation so I can excel and reach my goals -- obtain a degree from a respected school and play for a college soccer team. I cannot imagine transitioning to this next part of the journey without soccer in my life.
I am still not sure what I want to do for a career post-graduation, but I do know I want to pursue a math-related major. Math has always been one of my favorite subjects, even when it is challenging at times. I’m considering becoming a math teacher, engineer, an accountant or something finance-related.
Also, I would love to be a student athlete. Soccer has always been my escape from the everyday monotony or stressors of life. A soccer field has always been my happy place. I sincerely believe that I am one of the hardest, if not the hardest, working players on the field. I think my coaches and trainers would agree -- they always tell me that I am very coachable. I also have flexibility with my position. My natural position is right wing back, which requires me to defend, assist and score. I have a hunger to win -- win games, win tackles, win dribbles -- I do not like to lose. While driving the ball, I keep calm under pressure and remain determined to successfully play the ball. Most importantly, I love being part of a team and all that implies.
I want to gain a top-notch education, play college soccer and make lifelong friends because this will lead to a successful adult life.
