- 2022 Championship
Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Lana Djuranovic. I am a 5ft 6in, 125lbs, class of 2024 attacking midfielder and play on the varsity team at Scarborough High School. I also play for the 2006 Seacoast United Girls Academy team. My most recent State-level soccer accomplishments include: 2022 Maine Class A State Champion, 2022 All-American, and 2021/20 Rookie Of The Year, among others. Last year (2021), I broke a 20-year-old single-season record for goals and assists at my high school. This year (2022), I broke a record for the most single-season goals set in 2021.
I am the type of player every team needs on their roster. I am a leader on and off the field with a great vision needed to create the game and a teammate who strives to encourage others to take leadership roles. My creativity, constant communication, and willingness to experiment is what distinguishes me from other players. While being very coachable, I have also been very lucky to have coaches that give me freedom on the field. This, combined with my creativity, ability to pass, foot skills, speed, peripheral vision, and passion, make me the player I am. I use both feet equally for dribbling, shooting, passing, and free-kicks. I play with my head, but also with my heart. I put 110% into every single game, training, and practice.
Last but not least, academics are very important to me. I study hard and take pride in my learning. I maintain high standards for myself and have stayed at the top of my class since middle school.
I am looking forward to discussing any other questions and connecting more! Thank you for your time.
