Personal Statement
My name is Sachil Kenkre and I am in the class of 2024 at Belmont High School. I am a left footed junior captain of my high school soccer team, for which I led the team in goals, assists, and was voted as Offensive Player of the Year by my teammates. My team plays in Massachusetts Division 1 and qualified for the state tournament. I myself earned individual awards this fall season like Eastern Massachusetts All Star and Middlesex All XII.
I also have and continue to play club soccer at the highest possible level, including three years in the United States Development Academy. I have played in several high profile national tournaments with my current Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) team such as Nationals, and have previously trained with the Tottenham FC youth academy in London and played matches against professional clubs in England, including QPR and Southampton.
I am a very determined player and have been told by all of my coaches that I am technically and tactically outstanding. I've been kicking a ball with my father (a former professional player) since I could walk, played organized soccer since I was five years old, and played on a high level club team since I was seven years old - as the only seven year old on my club's u10 team.
I am also very academically driven, am taking all AP and honors classes, and have over a 4.0 GPA . I am looking to play college soccer at a university that will help me flourish both athletically and academically. I am hard working and perseverant, and I think I would be able to benefit a top college program.
