Jack Walsh Chrono...Throughout the years I have played many positions but currently I am most passionate about outside back and wing-back. I've found success in these positions because of my speed, quick passes, footwork, and aggressive play. At 6' 2" and 185 pounds, I am strong, fast, and physical and pride myself on my ability to intercept passes and move the ball up the field. I am looking for a college with strong academics where I can stay for four years and complete my undergraduate degree. I am extremely coachable and eager to do what it takes to capitalize on my skills and become a contributing member of the team and school.
I currently play for Andrew Serafino on his IFA MLS Next Academy West 2007 team. Over my 9 years with Coach Serafino, I have improved all aspects of my game including my game IQ and speed of play. His training has been invaluable to my development as a player.
With my IFA team, I have competed across the Eastern Seaboard as well as Florida, and Arizona in regional and national NAL, EDS, and ECNL tournaments. We won the Massachusetts State Cup in 2025, 2024, 2022, 2021 and 2019. Our team’s strong performances in these tournaments have allowed us to advance to higher leagues, and we are continuing to challenge ourselves against some of the best competition in the country.
I’ve been on the varsity team since my freshman year, a starter since my sophomore year, and a captain my senior year.My junior year I played defense, wing, and striker. I finished with the second-highest points on the team while splitting time between defense and striker, showcasing my versatility on the field. I represented Western Massachusetts in the 2024 Bay State Games.
I enjoy fishing, working out, and being with friends and family. I also enjoy working with younger soccer players. I ran an after-school soccer program for sixteen 4th grade boys at White Street School in Springfield, MA. A few of the boys didn’t speak English and, even though we didn't speak the same language, it was wonderful to see them smiling, having fun and enjoying the sport we all love. This winter I also coached my 11-year-old cousin’s indoor soccer team. Finally, I run a car detailing business in my spare time. It is a good way for me to make money while still being able to focus on school and soccer.
