Cameron Rooney '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches, my name is Cameron Rooney, and I’m currently a junior at Georgetown Middle-High School. I am a responsible student that gets my assignments done on time. My favorite subjects are Social Studies and English. I have maintained a 3.3 average while juggling sports, class work, and community service. My goal is not only play soccer at the collegiate level but also the opportunity to make life-long friends and to attend a school where I will get a great education. While I am not 100% decided on my major my current interests are sports journalism and zoology.

I believe that I would be a valuable asset to your team. I’ve been playing soccer for most of my life which has allowed me to build a high soccer IQ. Playing soccer has not only given me a love for the game, it has given me skills that I can use throughout my life. Leadership, teamwork and responsibility are the three most important skills that I learned while playing soccer.

One of my top attributes is my ability to communicate and deliver valuable information to my teammates. Another attribute is my vision of the soccer pitch which allows me the ability to make quick decisions with the ball and to find the open space, which gains advantage for my team.
