As a player in either soccer or hockey I am a vocal, encouraging leader that has a great sense of the field of play. Growing up my parents taught me that an assist was better than a goal as it meant you were a team player. Combining these things, I work hard to make plays happen. The depth of my understanding of the field coupled with a great shot make me an excellent forward for your team.
What I learned my last year of varsity soccer was the impact of chemistry on the overall success of a team. My junior year of play our team won only 5 games. My senior year we had the most winning year in the history of Delano High School and won 12 games. What made our team so successful was the synergy . Two exchange students came to our school from France and Spain and the day after they arrived I took them to the fields with my brother and a few other teammates. This welcoming to our country and our team sparked their contribution to our winning record. It was a fantastic year and a great way to end my school career. Along with being the leading goal scorer, I had contributed to the shaping and the energy of our team. I convinced two of my friends from hockey to take roles on the soccer team. For one it was his first year ever playing soccer for the other it was his first year as a goalie.
My love and passion for soccer is one of the driving forces for wishing to continue my play into college. I began playing recreation soccer at the age of 5 and travel at the age of 8. Soccer has been a big part of my life both on the field and as a spectator. I have a brother whose ten years older than me and throughout my childhood and to date he has helped shape my play and love of the game. One of our rituals is to watch the European league most Sunday mornings. Analyzing the games and learning moves from top global players has helped me to continue to grow.
If you're looking for a player that is passionate, hard-working and a good shot please contact me.
Sincerely,
Nick
