I've been really into soccer since I was six, starting with recreational soccer at Henderson United. In 2017, I joined the Heat FC 07 Boys C Team with big dreams of making it to the A-Team. Finally, in 2020, I made it happen and earned my spot on the A-Team, representing Nevada in the ECNL Southwest league.
I used to be an offensive player, but when I joined the ECNL team, I became a defender. It's been a great change for me, allowing me to improve my defensive skills, contribute to our team's success, and to introduce me to a new environment. We even made it to the National Championships in 2022 and the National Playoffs in 2023.
During my freshman year at Southeast Career and Technical Academy (SECTA) in 2021, I tried out for the varsity soccer team and made it! I was one of the only few freshmen on varsity, and I started. I proudly represent my school on and off the field.I am now in my third year of soccer with the SECTA varsity team.
In January 2023, I got an amazing opportunity to train with Las Vegas Lights FC at a special camp they organized in our city. I was one of the youngest participants out of 260 guys, so it was a big honor for me. Although I couldn't continue training with them due to school commitments, it really ignited my passion for the sport, and pushed me to improve on my weaknesses.
To keep growing as a player, I've decided to venture out and join an older 05/06 team. It's gonna be tough, but I'm excited for the challenges and opportunities it'll bring. I'm lucky to receive training from coach Julian Portugal, who also trains the Las Vegas Lights FC players. His expertise helps me improve my skills in the field.
Thanks for taking the time to read about my soccer journey and considering me. I'm committed to working hard in both academics and athletics as I chase my dream of playing college soccer.
