Hey coaches,
My name is Nathan Gandhi. I am an upcoming Junior at John P. Stevens High School, Edison, NJ. We will be playing in White division this coming school year. My collegiate goals and aspirations are to play at a Divisions 3, NAIA, or JC level with a competitive sports program. I also wish to pursue nursing and to have a good community to possibly dorm in. A little bit about myself is that I can be a very outgoing person but gets straight to the point if needed to focus. I believe that this allows me to have fun with my team but then, get serious when need me. I also may be a little on the weaker side, but I have great game sense, and defensive capabilities. That aside, soccer has made a big impact on my life, and I started playing soccer to try out a sport. But now, it has become something I cherished, making memories and a stress reliever for me to laugh and have fun. It really has become a part of me that I do not want to let go which is one reason I would like to play at the college level. I also like to play the trumpet!
Athletic Information:
Position: My natural position is Right Outside back/ Fullback But I can play left, 6, or an Outside mid position.
Club:
I have been playing at the Same club Edison United Soccer Association (EUSA) since I was 7 years old. I have been playing at the EDP level for 5 years now under the same coach, Mark Pedreiras who play for Seton hall 2001-2004, NY/NJ Metrostars 2005 and Oliveira do Bairro Portugal's 2nd division (2006-2007). We have won numerous tournaments together, reached the semi finals of a state cup ( only boys team in EUSA history) and recently won our flight.
High School:
During 2020, I was a starter for the Freshman team and we placed 2nd in Red division ( Highest division). During our 2021 season, I started on JV and we reached the semi finals of the GMC's.
Academics:
I have been an above average student ranging from the B to A+ range with the exception of freshman year due to Covid. I have been in honor classes since 6th grade and my upcoming junior year, I will be taking 1 AP class, 2 Honor classes, and learning math 1 grade level above. I have attached an unofficial transcript, showing my Freshman and Sophomore year grades.
If you got this far, Thank you for reading and I hope you will take me into consideration!
Sincerely,
Nathan Gandhi
