My parents immigrated to the United States for a better life. My family started their new life in the United States with many obstacles to overcome. My parents sacrificed everything in order for me to have a better future. My duty is to work hard in order to make worth of all the sacrifices my parents made for me. I know I have high expectations to meet, but I know I must continue to work hard to fulfill those expectations.
My parents influenced me to be the person that I am today. I work very hard everyday to not let them down. I am a great student and I push myself on and off the field. I am a leader amongst my peers and teammates. I work hard to be the prime example of what a student athlete should be, as I was once the captain of Fair Lawn's High School Junior Varsity's soccer team.
I started playing soccer at the age of 5 at a competitive level. After my high school sophomore year season, my passion and love for the game were the main driving forces to my athletic transformation as a player. I worked tirelessly everyday to become the player that I am today. I would wake up 2 hours before school everyday to hit the gym and I would work on my technical abilities afterschool at my local soccer field. It was a real challenge balancing out my training, school, and club soccer, but my determination helped me successfully achieve those objectives.
Without my family's support and my passion for the game, I would never have been the player that I am today.
