Robert Barrios '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since I was 6 years old. I played multiple sports (baseball, basketball & wrestling) but by the time I was 10, I fell in love with The Beautiful Game. I started out playing CM, RB & GK. Somewhere along the way I knew that I was a GK and decided to focus my attention on becoming the best GK I could be. 

I have aspired to play at the collegiate level and still very much wish to chase my dream of playing pro someday. I have a high soccer IQ along with fluid hips, good feet and am technically sound as I have been training  for over 5 years. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am a part of.

I study hard and maintain a  good GPA. I also train a young GK here in South Plainfield.

I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the field. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match. I hope to become a great role model to all peers and make my parents proud.
