Felipe Burbano '18 Recruiting Profile

Hello I'm Felipe Burbano, and I am from Stanhope, NJ and currently a junior attending Sussex County Technical School, Sparta. I have been playing soccer since I was six years old. I maintain an average of a 3.14 GPA and I'm enrolling in the Allied Health program. I am looking to attend a college that can help me specify in psychology. 

I start as a forward on my high school team. I have continually tried to step up my game to play in a higher level. From rising from recreational, to travel, and all the way to premier soccer in the last 4 years. In the summer of 2014 I traveled to my parents native country Colombia and spent the majority of the summer playing with Alset Bolton FC, which is a program that by 2020 will be one of the best training facilities in Colombia it was an experience I'll never forget playing with players at such a high level. I am a preferable right foot, although I can skillfully handle the ball and shoot with both of my feet. I may not be the tallest but I have many abilities in speed and strength which allow me also play various positions from being an outside back to an outside midfielder, however the primary and my preferable position in which I thrive in is being a forward. I won my first New Jersey State Cup with the Mount Olive Everton Premier team in the spring of 2014, however I left the team in search of building a new role in leadership. I currently play for SAF soccer Universitario in Sparta where currently we have won various tournaments and competed with the best teams in the state and once in a while international teams.

I am in an Honors History class and since I am in a technical school the profession I chose has to do with pursuing a career in in Allied Health (Medical Arts). My high goals is play at a good college level near my state of New Jersey, I live for this sport and I would highly be interested in a top college that enrolls in psychology and also a top level soccer college team. The amount of hard work I put into this sport and my school are abilities I enroll and use everyday in my life, I am a hard worker and I am a hard believer in achieving my goals while also testing myself to the highest level possible. While of course I would love at the same time receive the highest and best education possible.
