Herman Newton '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Herman Newton, I am a 15 year old  junior at New Visions charter high school Advance Math and science,I play for laliga academy New York where play as a starter for the U17 and U19 ,  I also play for my school soccer team and I’m excited about playing collegiate soccer. I am a 5’10”  left footed striker 

My objective is, to play collegiate soccer for an NCAA Division I, II college and contribute to my college team as a freshman. My goal is to graduate from college with my bachelor's degree and further pursue my passions. I have an interest in Sports, Engineering , and Business with a focus on Business and management..

I am a good recruit candidate because I am coachable, I have the desire to learn and play with the best. I am very strong, i have an exceptional speed. With the help of my teammates, I’ve scored  42 goals and 9 assists in 30 games with my club team at Laliga academy new york. And, 5 goals and 3 assists in 8 games since starting at New visions charter highs chool AMS. In 2023, I was selected to participate in the laliga select showcase in madrid,where we played and trained with athletico madrid, real madrid, rayo vallecano and Las rozas  . Playing soccer internationally was a welcomed challenge. I really enjoyed The overall experience and i was very  happy to know that i could compete and even dominate against the top players from very well known academies.

As a student-athlete, who is bilingual and bi-literate in English and French maintaining balance is critical to my personal development and growth. At an early age, I was exposed to sports,  which opened my mind to other traditions. Because of this exposure, i have always known a life of hard work, by  Managing my academic, athletic from a young age has given me the drive and confidence to know that no matter what obstacles or challenges life throws my way, I will overcome them and succeed. 

through out my life i as a person and an athlete, i understood that i have to work hard to get what i want, and i have to succeed no matter what. that's why I work really hard and understand the importance of maintaining my grades and my eligibility not only for myself but also for the team.
