Matthew Dewhurst '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Matthew Dewhurst, and I am currently in 11th grade, in the class of 2023. I have played for SC Gjoa since I was 6 years old. The club prides itself on keeping possession, and playing out from the back. Having said that, I am capable playing in any style that will help the team win. In players' developing stages, SC Gjoa is committed to playing the players in all positions. Resulting from this, I am able to play multiple different positions at a similar level. While my strongest position is center defensive midfield, I am also able to play further up the field as a box to box midfielder, or an attacking midfielder. I am also capable of playing full-back or center back. 

Playing soccer in college has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. My goal is to be the best player I can be.  I will work 100% on and off the pitch to be the best student I can be, as well as the best player and team-mate possible.
