Robert Hauss '24 Recruiting Profile

I am looking to combine obtaining a degree with my love to play soccer.  I enjoy being part of a team.  I am a tenacious goal scorer but I am just as happy making a pass to help a teammate score and help the team do well.  I have applied how I play soccer to my academics which helped me strive forward and make the National Honor Society. I look to be a member of a team and to continue to learn both academically and on the pitch. This past season I broke my high school's single-season scoring record and I also led the Suffolk County, Long Island, NY in scoring and overall points with 27 goals and 10 assists in 17 games. That is a county with over 50 high schools including this year's state champions whom we lost the county finals to (undefeated Brentwood at 22-0 and #3 in the nation). I was selected by Newsday as the Suffolk County Player of the Year.  I was also selected to the "All Long Island Team" where I scored second goal in 2-2 tie.  I also received "All Conference," "All State" awards.  I helped my team win its first league championship in 26 years.  I worked hard so I'd be successful my senior year and I will work even harder to succeed for a college program.  I'm at the point where I'd like to make visits and make a decision in February 2024.
