The person that inspires me is Cristiano Ronaldo, the best soccer player in the world. He came from rock bottom but still did not let anyone affect his mindset. He always says, “In my mind, I am always the best,” yet he is always humble. He didn’t have great sports talent, but his work ethic got him to the top. Even now, at the age of 36, when he undergoes physical tests, doctors are shocked. The results say that he has a body of a twenty-year-old. He influenced me because he proved that it doesn't matter how talented someone is. With hard work and the right mindset, anyone can be beaten. Every time I feel lazy or feel like giving up, I think of what he would do. This does not only apply to soccer; you can use his mindset in any part of your life. My goal is to be like Cristiano, and I am working towards having the same work ethic as him. What makes me different is that I understand that sports are not only about speed or strength; you have to be smart. |
