Personal Statement
From as far back as I can remember, soccer has always been the first thing on my mind. Some of my earliest memories take me back to going to watch my dad play on Sunday mornings. Moving here from St.Vincent, he brought the passion for soccer with him. Through him, I developed an instant love for the game. I have always had a soccer ball at my feet and I am happiest when I play.
I aspire to be as great of a soccer player as I can, and am willing to do whatever it takes to get there. My willingness to take criticism and improve separates me from other players. As a sophomore, I am looking for a college program that would foster my skills and help make me into the best player I can be.
I grew up in a house with three siblings and active parents, leading me to competing in swimming, baseball, lacrosse, track, basketball, and tennis. Together, these sports have improved my overall athletic ability tremendously. I have also participated in band and taken part in personal lessons. For over 5 years I played guitar on my own as well as trumpet and baritone in the school band for over 6 years.
Knowing that academics come first, schoolwork has always taken first priority. With this in mind, I have stayed top of my class while balancing sports and music. Over the years my GPA has stayed at a constant 99 percent.
These achievements throughout my life have come from the extreme work ethic I strive to maintain and it will continue to carry onto the field for any school willing to have me.
