Joseph Ghirardi '24 Recruiting Profile

Soccer is my passion, and my goal is to play in college and professionally one day.  I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old and cannot remember a time when I was not out on the field kicking the ball around in my free time.  I am a leader on the field who is very vocal and positive towards my teammates, and I am also extremely coachable and take feedback very well.  I work hard and have a natural ability to remain calm on the ball and field, especially in the face of pressure.  My field IQ is very strong, I am able to quickly read plays and create opportunities for my teammates.  I am a very strong player both offensively and defensively who won’t get knocked off the ball easily and will make sure to clean up for my teammates when they need it.  I am also ambidextrous as I can use both feet equally, with my left being dominant.  Despite mainly playing defense, I am the go-to penalty kicker for both my high school and club teams as I am able to consistently strike the ball hard and accurately.
