Personal Statement
Hello, My name is Connor Lacz. I am a Senior at Page High School in Greensboro, NC. I transferred this year from Piedmont Classical High School in Browns Summit, NC. We have only been able to do team workouts for school but my club team has still been training and we just played in The Adidas Clash Tournament this weekend.
I am a hard working, self driven and aspiring student athlete. In the classroom, I have achieved a 4.40 GPA and am constantly working to improve my knowledge. I will always be a student first and work hard in the classroom. I am an AP Scholar, member of the National Honor Society, Student Ambassador and have received academic honors such as the Bobcat Award for inspiring leadership in the classroom and PCHS Scholar Athlete.
At Piedmont Classical I was selected as a starter all three seasons and was named 1st Team All State all three seasons. During my Sophomore & Junior Season’s I had the honor of being named as Team Captain. Last Spring I received the PCHS Athlete of the Year Award to top off my hard work playing 3 Varsity Sports. I currently hold the record for goals, assists & points at Piedmont.
I have played club soccer at the Classic level for NC-Fusion, URYSA and I am currently playing for the Eagles Royal FC Academy. We are a USClub team and compete in the Carolina Champions League. In 2016, & 2017 I was a member of the NC ODP Team and was selected to attend the Region III Camp at The University of Alabama.
My club season got off to a great start with our team winning the President’s Day Cup in Williamsburg, VA but then... Coronavirus! After a short break we slowly started training and are now back to a regular schedule (fingers crossed).
I strive to be an outstanding student, citizen to the community & to continue to play soccer at the highest level.
Thank you,
Connor Lacz | Page HS | Class of 2021
