My name is Connor Hefner. I am currently a Junior at St. Stephens High School in Hickory, NC. I started playing soccer at the local YMCA when I was only four years old. My mom was my coach and I had a lot of fun playing. From that early experience I developed my passion for the game and moved on to play at the competitive club level to develop my skills as a player. My passion has only grown since that time and I want to play at the college level and beyond.
The classroom is the most important part of school so I make sure I spend time studying in pursuit of my academic goals. I currently have all A’s (4.0 GPA) after my first semester of high school. I also spend the winter season wrestling for my high school so I can experience multiple sports and coaches. I am a positive person and care for all my teammates. All of my coaches comment how I am a “coach able athlete” and that I work until I accomplish my goals.
Currently, I am still figuring out what area of study I would like to focus on in college, but I have interests in Sports Broadcasting and Sports Marketing. Ideally, I would like to attend a college that has diverse academic offerings that fit my interests and where I can play soccer. Ultimately, I want to become a faithful alumni who can continue to give back.
