My personal goal for a collegiate level would be to play soccer for a D1-D3 program and receive invites from professional teams to try out even after graduation. It would be a dream to play for Real Madrid! I know that is a far fetch but I am motivated and driven to try my best to get there to show other natives kids from my tribe and area that dreams without goals are just dreams and dreams can come true.
Currently, I am a junior at Lumberton Senior high school. Last year was my first year playing at the varsity level with my team going 24-3(17-0 in conference and finished first in conference) and making it to the second round of state playoffs losing to Green Hope 3-2. I had 16 goals and 14 assists in my sophomore serious. This year my team is currently 16-5(10-1 in conference and first in conference) with conference playoffs and state playoffs left to play, I currently have 26 goals and five assists. Being second in 4A for goals and 23rd in the state of North Carolina. My guys work really hard each year since we go to a feeder school and all came from different locations to create our team. Up until I started high school I played club ball for eight years traveling up and down the east coast from Virginia to Florida. The team I played on went three years in a row undefeated while traveling and often we would age up in competitions.
Academically I am a straight-A student with only one B in high school taking AP/Honors classes currently and online CCP courses such as Psychology and American History at our local community college. I try my best to be a well-rounded student-athlete and focusing on my academics as much as possible because I realize I am a student athlete and student comes first. I am also involved in my community with an organization named NCNAYO (North Carolina Native American Youth Organization). We plan and organize conferences for Native students across North Carolina and currently serve as an Executive Board member as the President. I also work at a local Christian camp named Camp Grace as a Program Staff Member and being a referee for recreation soccer and basketball in my city also cutting grass for a side hustle.
This is just a little about me and I hope from this you can tell how motivated I am to become successful and make my dreams come true. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
