Kai Claudio '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kai Claudio. I have lived in North Carolina my entire life. I fell in love with soccer when I was 10 years old; although, I have been playing since I was 3 years old. Once I got to be a goalkeeper, my passion for soccer become more intense. With my father's support and guidance, I have grown to love the game more. My favorite thing about being a goalkeeper is being able to dive for the balls; and stopping them before they get into the net. I also enjoy being able to be part of a team; especially communicating with my defensive counterparts.

During the 2022-2023 school year, while playing for my 8th grade school soccer team, I tore my left ACL which set me back in my overall athletic goals. While I waited, I spent time training and strengthening my legs. Practicing shooting, diving, and passing. I am now released from the doctor and as I have grown on as a young soccer player, practicing different skills has made me find a new love for left back.
